The winds of change are blowing! We are in the midst of the most wonderful story as the people of God. I love dwelling on the reality that we are living in-between the first and second coming of Jesus Christ. We live in the moment where we have His saving power rescuing our very lives, His word being written on our hearts, and our lives being aligned with His to walk out His will and see the lost saved while preparing a way for His second coming. What a sweet reality… Catch us up in your story God.

…I arrived in Kona January 15th from Orange County, CA.

Here is a bit of the journey!

Meet the Brennt Family, Sue Gray, and Rick Wilkerson.

This was a small part of our outreach team in Orange County and we are all on board to serve in all the circuit rider schools this summer! The schools start in June and run for two weeks. The locations are Los Angeles, Denver, Orlando, Kansas City, and London!

After departing from this incredible family I was off the Kona to lead worship for the corporate DTS week… let the journey continue!

Made it to Kona safely and was so excited to see Kona family again! I arrived in Orange county August 14th 2011 and landed in Kona January 15th 2012 thinking it would be a short trip, but God caught me by surprise and I find myself still in Kona today, February 18th. I love this phrase from Ignatius Loyola,

“Ignatius Loyola described the ideal Jesuit as “living with one foot raised” always ready to respond to emerging opportunities.”

Living with one foot raised… that is a liberating statement for a missionary!

Shortly after I arrived to Kona I rushed straight down to the Marshallese community. About a year ago I began to go spend time with a group of children an hour south of the YWAM base. There is a community from the Marshall Islands that live in Kona. They are some of the most beautiful, hospitable, tender people I have ever met. I always look forward to what God has in store as he continues to pour out His heart for these people.

Random side note about this bag before I move on…

While I was in the airport heading to Kona, an extremely kind woman gave me this bag because the Lord told her to. I was so caught off guard! It was definitely a moment of receiving from the Father! So often we get caught up in being in the giving position that when God turns it and wants us to receive, He simply wants us to always know His great love for us. I was in awe of the simple love of Jesus Christ as He put this new bag in my hand. I love the kingdom. Everything belongs to Him.

After being a part of the corporate DTS week in Kona I began recording! I don’t even know what to write about it other than I want to message of joyful obedience and sweet surrender to cover the globe! He is worth it and He is worthy and encountering Jesus’ love and salvation power will only lead you to want to take up your cross and follow Him. It is a 3-song EP album with three songs that encompass the simple revelation. ‘The sweetest surrender unto the greatest awakening,’ is the title. It has been so much fun! Chloe Brennt, Seth Yates, Kumu Vasconcellos, Christian Fox, and myself have been working as a team to get it all done! It truly has been a team full of joy and courage, lots of laugher and lots of grace.

I successfully just finished this update bright and early on a Saturday morning and now I am off to chat with my beautiful friend Sue Gray from South Africa who is in the picture above!!! Blessings!!!!!!!!!

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand

¹³ When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. ¹⁴When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

¹⁵ As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”

¹⁶ Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

¹⁷ “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.

¹⁸ “Bring them here to me,” he said. ¹⁹ And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. ²⁰ They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. ²¹ The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

I love Jesus. His love for us eternally abounds! Lately I have been basking in the truth and reality that we are no longer orphans. When I read this in Matthew today I was so struck with the reality of the compassion and restoration Jesus carried in who He is. In the disciples good heartedness to wanted to give Jesus rest and send the people on their way home and to get their own food. Not a thought for Jesus, he says “Give them something to eat.” No food? Than, “Bring them here to me.” He looked to his father, gave thanks and broke the loaves! He fed FIVE THOUSAND, and there were even left overs. Our radiant King, righteous judge, and perfect Father who inhabits all of eternity…sending His son who He emptied out His life for an orphan like me. I can’t find the right words to describe the beauty of the spirit of adoption that Jesus beholds. In his kindness and His mercy he draws us back home.

This Sunday I leave for Kona, Hawaii to the YWAM base. I am so excited to meet all the new DTS students. This is the largest quarter Kona has EVER SEEN! Jesus! Raise up the harvesters! January 23-27 all the DTS’s meet as one large group for one week. In this time Loren Cunningham shares the testimony of YWAM and also basic kingdom principles! I have the privilege of leading worship for this week with a lot of really good friends! It was be exciting! My heart is stirring and expectant for all God wants to do.

What a great day to be alive!!

“And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” -John 17:3

Jesus! Give our generation a burden for lost souls that no eye has seen and no ear has heard before. Touch our hearts with the reality of heaven and give of faith like Noah as we run the race with our eyes lifted to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Jesus, thank you that by your blood you have brought us close to your heart to move to the rhythms of your heartbeat. Let your kingdom come, and your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

We are approaching the start of 6 Circuit Rider schools this summer in London, Kona, Denver, Orlando, LA, and Kansas City.

Circuit Rider:

a minister who traveled from place to place in an assigned circuit to preach

Their Message:

The kingdom of God has come, repent, be baptized and follow Jesus. Their payment: A mere 60 dollars a year if anything at all. The cost: Their very lives. 50% died before reaching 33 years old. Their reward: Nothing in terms of societal success and yet everything in terms of the glory of God! These leaders lived for a cause greater than themselves. They were dangerous to the enemy, and powerful in the hand of the Almighty God!

The Circuit riders of old were forerunners in their day. The same call is going out again, God is raising up their example for today’s forerunner generation! The mode and methods have changed, but the mandate, message and cost of the Circuit Rider remain the same. The nations are crying out in darkness. Who will go and gather the lost all over the Earth? Who will go and awaken the Church to the joy of living fully alive in Jesus?

A generation is responding like perhaps never before in history. Confident in who Christ has called them to be and what He has given them, they go forth proclaiming freedom to the captives. Knowing the living God through deep friendship and trust in His Word, they gladly lay down their lives. There is immense hope for the hardest and the darkest, as this generation rises to its feet and lays hold of its destiny!

The Call2All LA global congress is starting Tuesday!

Call2All is…

“… a partnership of hundreds of the top missions agencies, denominations, and organizations in the world, including tens of thousands of Christian leaders, all working together and strategizing to complete the Great Commission in our generation. Working together we accomplish what could not be finished if we all act alone.”

Laura Hackett and I will be leading worship along with many other INCREDIBLE worship leaders! Check out the webstie to see all the presenters and worship leaders. One of them is Mike and Angela Pinkston who have been pouring into YWAM Kona for a few years and are dear, dear friends!! The Call2All congress will end with Lou Engle leading a Global call. I am expectant and looking forward to this time of worship, prayer, and waiting on the Lord!!!! Please check out the website for more info!

Thanksgiving was amazing! Everyone staying in the Brennt home enjoyed and SUPER TASTEY meal at the Hyatt hotel. We all laughed, took lots of pictures, and of course ate a little bit to much. Chloe, Christy, and I went out for our very first BLACK FRIDAY shopping extraveganza. Chloe and I ended up sitting in the food court telling stories and laughing, haha.

Today is the day of Salvation

Today Chloe, Nick, Spencer, Rick and I went with Jarrod and Lucinda Davidoff (click on names for details) to a local highschool here in Newport Beach. We joined with the FCA ministry and during their lunches gathered in classrooms and saw 36 souls saved!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO GOD!!!!!!! 36 new believers in Jesus Christ! Such joy filled the room as salvation broke out. Today is the day of salvation! Tomorrow is the day of Salvation! Jesus has come… to redeem us back to the living, breathing GOD.

From the foundations of earth where God created man to BE WITH HIM… His love and power breathes life on every dry bone to bring them back to Him and be with Him for eternity! This is the greatest love song of all! Jesus saved me! Jesus loves me! Jesus, you’re my everything! I surrender my all, not to a religion but to a KING! Not to an idea, but to your KINGDOM!

Let it be to me according to your word!

The Lost will be Saved

This Saturday, November 19th, and our team in Orange County went to an impartation breakfast with evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. He is the founder of Christ for all Nations and is a man burning for gospel of Jesus Christ to touch every tribe, tongue, and nation. It was truly an awakening in our hearts as we listened to the testimonies of millions being saved all throughout Africa. THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS REAL.

Jesus’s words in Luke 4 read:

¹⁸ “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
¹⁹ to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

This is reality.

Eternal Life in Jesus Christ that sets every captive free.

God did not send His only begotten Son for small things, He sent him for GREAT THINGS. HE IS THE GREAT I AM.

Day by day I am learning more about the pure, simple, powerful, all-consuming love of Jesus Christ. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE LOVE OF JESUS. NOTHING!!!!!

Love that saved my soul and sets me free. Love that laid down His life for His friends. Love that burns for every soul to know Him. Love that inhabits all of eternity. Love that never runs dry, never failing, always leading me deeper into the knowledge of Christ. For the Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever!

Every tongue will confess……

That Jesus Christ is Lord.

I got back from a trip to Taipei, Taiwan last Tuesday. My friend Laura Hackett and I along with an entire IHOP (International House of Prayer) team went to go be a part of a ministry in Taiwan ran by GOOD TV. Were we amazed and lit up in our hearts as we witnessed the tremendous testimony of what God is doing throughout Asia. Without a doubt the Asian bride will release a sound over all there earth declaring the great love of Jesus that is better than life. The broadcasting of GOOD TV is touching parts of China that is enabling the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ to go forward. What a testimony of the greatness of God, His goodness has no end!

Before heading out to Taiwan I was in Kona for ten days in the Community Transformations Discipleship Training School. This was the same DTS I was a student in in September 2007!! Moment by moment each student was getting touched by the unfailing love of God, gripped by the Spirit of God into joyful repentance, and all leading into radical transformation and overflowing hearts! This is the generation God is raising up all over the world! Hearts radically in love with Jesus with a burning desire to walk as Jesus walked in complete surrender and Lordship to the Father’s will. Let the sound be heard into the heart of God from the heart of His bride, “Not my will, but yours be done, I’m in love! I’m in love! I’m in love.” One of my favorite parts of scripture is in Luke 1:26-38.

It reads:

²⁶In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, ²⁷ to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary. ²⁸And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” ²⁹But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. ³⁰And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. ³¹And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. ³²He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, ³³and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

³⁴And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”

³⁵And the angel answered her, ”The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy— the Son of God. ³⁶And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. ³⁷For nothing will be impossible with God.”

³⁸And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

In the midst of extreme change and extremely uncomfortable circumstance Mary’s submission and response to the Lord is one of pure Lordship! Let it be done to me according to your word! I was thinking about this one day and I began to get gripped with the revelation that Mary bearing Jesus broke every rule in the book. Underaged, not married, and not of the perfected status, yet even in the face of what would bring mass persecution and squandering her response from the depth of her heart was, “Behold, I am a bondservant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.”

“And we all with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the spirit” 2 Cor 3:18

Eight flights, 29,549 miles, salvations, healings, and hearts transformed from glory to glory through the power of Jesus Christ.

No one compares to our God. There is none like Him.

My brother Steven and I just returned from Mozambique, Africa on March 28Th. After 14 days of serving on the ground with Iris ministries I have never been more convinced of God’s heart, plan, and strategy for His name to be known and worshipped in all the earth! What joy and freedom to submit to the Lordship of our beautiful Jesus and love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Every weekend we went out to the bush to preach the gospel and watch God work miracles as He awakened hearts of the lost through His sons and daughters! The stories could go on and on of God’s miraculous work but it all gets down to love. It is His love that saved us and His love that will save the nations of the earth and restore worship to Jesus!

We had the honor of serving Rolland and Heidi Baker, the founders of Iris ministries, and take time to learn from all the missionaries out there who have laid down their lives to preach the gospel to unreached people groups throughout Mozambique. They are seeing tremendous fruit from the simplicity of loving God and loving others. They have now started over 6,000 churches and take in every orphan, widow, and all the lost… What an image of Jesus!!

I have been back in Kona for 12 days and am expectant for all God has for the new students this April as we continue to train others and send them out. But, there is one thing that continues to penetrate my heart since being back and it is the power and reality of the pure, simple gospel of Jesus Christ. There really is a God who LOVES the world and gave His only son and whoever believes in Him will have eternal life!! This gospel must be preached and just like Isaiah said in Isaiah chapter 6, “Here am I, send me!” There is a generation God is raising up so in love with God that their only response is “Here am I, send me!” The world has to know this love that is better than life, so we will go! I am very thankful for Iris ministries and all they have laid down and persevered through to see this pure and simple reality lived out every day!

In Kona there is a continual increase of hunger and passion for Jesus. We have had the gift of the Kona House of Prayer being completed and a flood of young people pressing in with worship and intercession. Steven and I are both serving on prayer room worship teams helping train students how to enter into the presence of God and take it to the nations. There are six new schools running in Kona this quarter. We will be starting a school called ‘School of the Circuit Riders‘ in July that is a 5 week training course of the basic foundations of the gospel launching outreaches to specific nations, univeristies, and cities. More details to come!

From Kona to Mozambique to Oklahoma to Timbuktu… Our God Reigns. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

I will continue to serve here is Kona going to and from the nations as long as the Lord leads. Thank you for all your love, prayers, and your partnership.

His Kingdom Come, His Will Be Done!
